What will you be working on at Basic Pharma?

A Laboratory Technician is able to perform various analytical work according to protocol on raw materials, packaging, intermediates and finished products. The individual is also trained for the execution of analytical method validation and under supervision writes analytical study protocol and reports. The lab technician objectively reports analytical findings according to internal procedures, work instructions or protocols according to current GMP standards.

• Keep training records up to date for documents, equipment and methods that are needed to work in the analytical laboratories
• Check the status of analytical equipment
• Check, monitor and improve the tidiness of the laboratories and workstations
• Register and administrate incoming chemicals and reagents
• Register analytical samples
• Prepare samples for analysis (sample prep.)
• Prepare and send out samples for external services (contract analysis)
• Report practical information during execution (dilutions, used equipment, sample-, used chemical- and equipment ID’s) in laboratory journals according to procedure.
• Independently operate analytical equipment with user rights
• Retrieve raw data from analytical equipment and prepare them for reporting in templates (spreadsheet, fill-in forms, draft CoA etc.)
• Under supervision write analytical study protocols and reports
• Peer review analytical data
• Detect, escalate and under supervision start deviations and out of specifications
• Perform daily operational tasks like cleaning, (chemical) waste disposal, replenish disposable and material stock
• Perform analytical method validation activities in consultation with supervisor
• Prepare and validate analytical spreadsheets under supervision used for analytical data reporting purpose

Authorized to;

• Adress colleagues in a constructive way if the tidiness is unsatisfactory;
• Operate analytical equipment after documented training independently. 

Responsibilities:

• To always keep the laboratories and workstations in the best possible and tidiest conditions;
• To make use of personal protective equipment;
• To work safely in the lab for one’s own account and especially for others;
• To read all necessary safety documents like MSDS before working with pharmaceutics;
• To assist and train level I Lab Technicians;
• Objectively take notes in the laboratory notebook while executing experiments.

What we expect: 

• HLO with ≥2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• MSc with ≤2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Experience in GMP is a plus
• Basic command of the English language in word and letter
• Intermediate level of Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Complete a training program according to internal procedures
• Experience with HPLC, FT-IR, UV-Vis, Rheology
