Basic Pharma is a unique Dutch pharmaceutical company that is growing rapidly, continuously building its organization and increasingly specializing and developing. The company focuses on the full breadth of the pharmaceutical industry: from product development, registration, production and commercialization of (bio)pharmaceutical products to pharmaceutical services, Basic Pharma serves an ever-growing circle of national and international customers, ranging from startups to multinationals.

The production organization Basic Pharma Manufacturing produces products such as nasal sprays, prefilled syringes, creams and ointments. In addition, it also supplies investigational medicinal products and offers various services to third parties, such as quality control and contract manufacturing. Basic Pharma Technologies develops pharmaceutical products for its own production organization, regularly in collaboration with partners, and subsequently licenses these out to customers. This business unit now also has a biotech facility for product development and investigational medicinal products.

Interdos, finally, has built a solid track record in providing advice and consultancy services in the fields of Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance and Quality. The availability and combination of all these activities under one roof makes Basic Pharma a strong and versatile player within the pharmaceutical industry. What will you be working on at Basic Pharma?

• Purchasing raw materials and packaging at the most optimal price/quality ratio and monitoring delivery times of purchased goods, in such a way that production can take place on time and efficiently. Managing customer artwork (master cards) in order to have the agreed, approved version available.
• Determining the need for raw materials and packaging materials;
• Creating purchase orders and requesting delivery times, conducting price negotiations;
• Checking the artwork between customer order and purchase order, approving each individual ordered artwork/item;
• Monitoring delivery times of raw materials and packaging materials;
• Providing feedback on delivery times to planning;
• Maintaining the purchasing status in the ERP system;
• Registering incoming goods;
• Supporting complaint handling;
• Checking deviating invoices + archiving purchase orders;
• Monitoring the expiration date of raw materials;
• Authorized to place orders for raw materials and packaging materials;
• Timely ordering of raw materials and packaging materials;
• Ensuring timely delivery;
• Purchasing under optimal conditions;
• Optimally combining orders into one order or combining orders with a specific supplier with the aim of achieving the lowest purchase price;
• Careful and timely communication to other departments about the status of a purchase order when deviations occur.

What do you bring as an Operational Buyer?

• Language skills: Dutch and English are a must, German is a plus;
• Preferably experience in and/or knowledge of pharmaceutical products and their raw materials;
• Communication skills;
• Commercial talent;
• Analytical ability;
• 3–5 years of work experience in a comparable and/or commercial role;
• Available 32–40 hours per week.
